How we operate with a C-profile

Our C-profiles are manufactured from high quality steel. As a result, you are assured of excellent quality. You install our C-profiles between the already fixed U-profiles with a standard center to center distance of 600 mm.This can be reduced if necessary for placing a higher wall, for example. The C-profiles do not need to be fastened to U-profiles and for optimum results, you should also leave approx. 15 mm space at the top between the back of the U-profile and the end side of the C-profile.

By default, the profiles are provided with three punched round holes of 30 mm. for the passage of piping.

C-profile: standard type or N-type?

The difference between N-type and standard C-type profiles lies in the flange height. Standard profiles have a flange height of 49/51 mm, the N-type is 43/45 mm.Because the flanges are unequal, it is possible to extend them on the job.To do this, the overlap should be at least the profile width in cm.

The assembly of C-profiles

The basis for walls and ceilings in drywall construction often consists of a steel framework. The metal posts and rails are called metal stud profiles.Unlike wood, steel rails do not warp.In addition, the profiles are light, straight and made of cold-rolled galvanized steel.They also comply with the European standard NEN-EN 14195.Therefore you are assured of excellent quality and safety.

Profiles of a nominal thickness of 0.6 mm are most commonly used. However, thicknesses of 1.5 and 2 mm are also available. These thicker variants are intended as weighted profiles, such as for window frames or high walls.

We distinguish between U and C profiles. U-profiles are fixed against the structural frame.Next, the frame is completed with C-profiles. The C-profiles are provided with round holes for the passage of pipes. They can easily be ordered to size or, if necessary, cut to size with tin snips.
