Do you opt for a standard steel U-profile or for an N-type?The difference between these profiles lies mainly in the flange height. This is a crucial factor in determining the strength and application possibilities of the profiles. Standard U-profiles have a flange height of 40 mm, the N-type has a flange height of 35 mm. A larger flange height offers more resistance to bending and torsion, whereas a smaller flange height is often used in lighter structures in which weight reduction is important.
