Metal stud offers several advantages compared to wood. This is because of its characteristics. First, metal stud is lighter in weight. It is also generally more straight than a wooden profile. As a result, it does not need to be filled up, and a metal stud frame can be built faster than a wooden one. Steel profiles do not warp, unlike wood. Also, the standards of metal stud profiles contain factory-made openings for the passage of pipes.

A metal stud wall is a non-load bearing wall. This means that the wall cannot support any weight. It is just a frame for the partition system that will be built.

U-profiles determine the location for C-profiles and lock them in place, so to speak. Above and below the C-profiles, U-profiles are placed as support beams. This applies to both wall and ceiling profiles. All our C-profiles have an extra edge on the side of the profile. This makes them more stable and they do not bend when screwing the wall plates to the built-up frame. With our C60-27 ceiling profile – with the ceiling tiles being screwed to the back of the profile – the edge serves as an extra support against bending.

In most cases, a C60-27 profile. Either as a single or double grid or in combination with U27 or U27-50 edge profiles. If necessary, fittings are added for suspension from the overhead deck. A metal stud ceiling can also be made with C- and U-wall profiles..

A metal stud ceiling – depending on the length of the profiles and whether they have a single or double grid – is suspended from the overhead deck with fittings developed for this purpose. The number, spacing and type (in connection with the bearing strength) depends on the total weight of the ceiling construction.

In case of a double grid, a primary layer of metal stud profiles is applied, which are suspended from the overhead deck. The second layer of profiles is applied at right angles to the primary profiles. This is below the primary layer. Using cross connectors, the second layer is attached to the primary layer. The ceiling tiles are attached to this.

This depends on several things. These include the structure (single or double grid), the distance between the profiles, the distance between the fittings (if any) for intermediate suspensions as well as the type of fittings with their maximum load-bearing capacity.
